Alan Chaubert is a renowned, established jazz artist who has taken his soulful, sophisticated virtuosity on both trumpet and piano to develop a unique and exciting sound when he plays both instruments at the same time. Alan is known for his beautiful golden tone, his lyrical and introspective phrasing, and his superb musicality and creativity in the vein of Chet Baker, Bill Evans, Freddie Hubbard and Miles Davis. He is a soulful and stirring performer. Alan has toured internationally and performed at Birdland Jazz Club, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Switzerland and many other prominent festivals and venues with great jazz musicians like harmonicist Toots Thielemans, saxophonist Phil Woods, pianist Fred Hersch, bassists Steve Laspina and Cameron Brown.

Born in the French part of Switzerland, Alan Chaubert started playing the trumpet at age twelve in his hometown’s brass band and by the time he was seventeen, he was already playing professionally with different local bands and classical orchestras while studying the piano and teaching music in private schools. He received a degree with honors in performance and teaching from the prestigious Geneva Conservatory and went on to develop his profound virtuosity at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, with an emphasis on jazz improvisation and commercial arranging. Alan has produced multiple albums, worked as the organizer, manager and musical director for several European tours, and taught at Montreux Jazz Conservatory. He is the owner of Shobo Music Academy.
